Public relations, copywriting, crisis communication

Plain speaking, plain English, making life plain easy

You need to get your message across to your customers in a way that they understand and that shows why your business is a success.

I can help you to make sure your communication works – whether it is with the media, direct with customers or with other people who have a say in your business’s success.

Communication isn’t difficult – but saying the right things to the right people can be more complicated. Finding time to spread the word effectively can also be a problem. I can use my knowledge, contacts and skills to help you do both.

How can I help?

  • I was a journalist for 13 years and have a strong understanding of what the media needs and how it works.
  • Eight years with public relations agencies has underpinned my knowledge of all types of communication.
  • Working for a wide range of clients, from manufacturers to professional services, and in sectors ranging from packaging to property and from engineering to the law has given me an understanding of the needs of different types of businesses.
  • I have created and led a wide range of different types of campaign, from new product launches to corporate news.
  • Because I have worked on both sides of the fence, I can help you in a crisis. If something goes badly wrong, you need to communicate fast to ensure your messages are heard.
  • I operate in line with the Institute of Public Relations code of ethics.
